Nissan NV200 MPV is going to launch in Auto Expo, 2012. Nissan NV200 MPV will be approx Rs 7 lakh. Japanese company Nissan and Indian Utility Vehicle king Ashok Leyland have worked in synergy and developed NV200 van. Rival Toyota is also bringing Innova facelift and Maruti is putting its best foot forward by launching Ertiga MPV in the Expo so it would be great to see MPVs raining this season. This Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) has done innumerable test on Indian roads before it will set the stage on fire in 2012 AutoExpo. The 7 seater MPV has been chosen as the New York taxi of future (from 2013) in USA, thus stepping in the boots of very famous Crown Victoria taxi range that are plying on roads of New York. The Nissan NV200 will most probably be affixed with the tried and tested HR15DE engine running on Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny and Renault Pulse. The MPV with 1.5-litre dCi engine will boost up the sales figure for Nissan as present situation is favorable only to diesel cars in India.

When Nissan Motor Corp. was launching its latest Nissan Sunny, Nissan Motors India CEO and Managing Director, Kiminobu Tokuyama talked about the next offering of the auto manufacturer from Japan, for its Indian customers. It is going to be a car specifically designed to give the Toyota Innova a strong competition. The vehicle that Tokuyama was referring to is the Nissan NV200 MPV light commercial vehicle (LCV), which has been seen being tested on Indian roads umpteen number of times. It is, however, being said that Nissan has put in considerable work on the aesthetics and interiors of this LCV, so that it can relate to the MPV segment of cars in the Indian auto market.


Information that has been received about the latest Nissan NV 200 seems to indicate that the car is going to get its power from a HR15DE engine. This is essentially the same dCi 1.5L engine that is used to power the diesel variants of the Renault Pulse, Nissan Sunny, Nissan Micra as well as Mahindra Verito. The Nissan NV200 has been designed to comfortably accommodate seven people. The vehicle is expected to come with a list of features that is going to empower it to provide strong competition to its major rival, the Toyota Innova. The Nissan NV200 is already proving its worth as an excellent MPV. This is reflected by the fact that the vehicle has already been chosen as future taxi for the city of New York.


According to experts, the Nissan NV200 is going to be launched in the Indian market at a price range between Rs.8 lacs and Rs.12 lacs. Automobile lovers are eager to watch the interesting duel that is expected between the Nissan NV200 and the Toyota Innova, which is already enjoying the advantage of huge market popularity in India. With Toyota Innova also coming out with its latest variant, which is going to be displayed at the Delhi Auto Expo, things could not have been any more interesting.

NEW CR-V

These are the first official images of Honda’s all-new CR-V. Honda had released the first official picture of the CR-V concept last summer, and was due to unveil the production car at next month's Los Angeles motor show. However, the latest images appeared without explanation on the Honda’s Japanese website at the weekend. The CR-V is based on an all-new platform. The most prominent changes are at the front, where the CR-V features a wraparound lower front bumper that is better integrated into the rest of the front fascia than on the current car. The three-bar horizontal front grille is also much more dominant than the current CR-V’s, with slimmed-down headlights flanking it on either side. Honda claims the front-end styling changes result in much improved aerodynamics over the current car. Sculpted bodywork features on the sides, which also get more pronounced side sills. The large alloy wheels featured on the concept have been exchanged for more practical-looking variants.

Maruti S-cross facelift: What to expect

Maruti revealed a facelift for the S-cross at the Paris motor show earlier this year. The automaker’s premium crossover now gets a more distinctive front end with a new larger upright grille, new headlamps and a new bumper.
