Mini cooper to be in india soon....
The epitome of retro cool, Mini is finally coming to India. Indian market dynamics might suggest small cars with premium price tags won’t work here but BMW-owned Mini thinks otherwise. The manufacturer sees a big opportunity in India and is even carrying out feasibility studies for local assembly at BMW’s Chennai plant, so prices will be far more affordable than VW’s fully imported Beetle.Mini will kickstart its Indian venture with the launch of the Cooper hatchback. The design is classic Mini and the retro interiors with the big dials look the part too. A four-seater only in name, minimal rear seat space makes this three-door hatchback best suited for two occupants. The Cooper hatchback will be followed by the convertible and also the interesting Countryman crossover. All Minis will come with 1.6 petrol and diesel engines.
BMW is going to launch a small car in the market for the Indian customers. If there’s any car that indicates elegant style, trendy looks, it’s the new Mini Cooper. It will be available to you in the three different models Mini Cooper S, Mini One & Mini Cooper S. Looking at the inside and the outside of the car it will be categorized as a luxury segment of cars. Our sources however didn’t find the market value but they estimated its cost in the range of 20-25 lakh. For the Indian roads it has made the ideal design. Expected that the Mini is only 60mm long and has same width with smaller passengers seats. But at least it is larger than beetle and fiat 500 which is a good advantage in the terms small cars department. At rear there is limited legroom which is little bit larger then the before one. Actually it is heard that the country is not accepting small cars with premium budgets but the BMW have different opinion on this. Also the assembling of this car is going to take place at the Chennai factory. This indicates that the affordance of the vehicle is going to be similar as of the VW Beetle.
By launching the hatchback of Cooper Mini will make its point in the Indian market. Although fully designed Cooper will have the stamp of Mini, and styled like past (retro) ones interiors containing big dials. Don’t know why the car has been termed four seater, because the rear sitting is having Minimum space. So thereby at comfort level aspect it has the capacity of only two persons. As usual the convertible will follow hatchbacks of Cooper in India and again following by countryman crossover. Three versions of the Mini will make its entry to the Indian markets having 1.6 liter both petrol and diesel engines.
