The Skoda Fabia Scout is a crossover version of the Skoda’s popular premium hatchback Fabia. The Fabia Scout is expected to be launched in the Indian market by the last quarter of this year as company is aggressively planning to enhance its India portfolio with a series of new car launches. However, as per some unconfirmed reports, the car will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 in National Capital.  

The Fabia Scout was recently spotted testing on the Pune roads. Carrying a look of mini crossover, the Fabia Scout is expected to be launched with a bigger engine and refined performance as compared to its hatchback counterpart. Taking a look at its spy pictures, the Fabia Scout is a powerful looking vehicle. 

The new Fabia Scout will be targeted on the SUV lovers in the Indian market. Carrying a more powerful engine and a host of new features, the new Fabia Scout is expected to be priced considerably higher as compared to its hatchback counterpart. As per the market speculations, the Fabia Scout will be launched in both petrol and diesel versions, powered by a 1.6L engine each. The new Fabia Scout is expected to be launched in the price segment of Sub Rs 9 lakh where it will be competing with the likes of Toyota Innova, Tata Aria and Mahindra Xylo. 

Engine & Specifications of the Skoda Fabia Scout

As mentioned above, the car is expected to be launched in both petrol and diesel engine options in the Indian market. While the Petrol version is expected to be powered by a 1.6L (105 bhp) and 1.2L petrol engine, the diesel version is expected to be powered by 1.6L engine. The new Fabia Scout is also expected to be launched in 4X2 (two wheel drive) version, with choice of both automatic and manual transmissions.

Performance of the Skoda Fabia Scout

The Fabia Scout is a crossover which will be carrying a range of performance boosting features to keep it performing no matter what the road conditions are. The performance of the vehicle will be considerably better as compared to its hatchback version. The Fabia Scout is currently in the testing stage where it is being rigorously tested for the Indian road and traffic conditions. Being a crossover, the Fabia scout carries with it a promise of performing equally better on cities, highways and off-road journeys.

Exterior, Interior & Safety Features of the Skoda Fabia Scout

The Fabia Scout is a mini crossover version of Fabia hatchback. Though the vehicle is yet to be launched in the Indian market, a few things about its exterior can be said with surety, thanks to spy pictures posted on a number of auto blogs. As per these pictures, the new Fabia Scout features Black and silver roof rails, wider tyres, and larger cabin space. However, the real scenario will be cleared once the Fabia Scout gets launched and company discloses features list in the country. The car will be blessed with a range of new age safety and comfort features including ABS, multiple airbags etc.

NEW CR-V

These are the first official images of Honda’s all-new CR-V. Honda had released the first official picture of the CR-V concept last summer, and was due to unveil the production car at next month's Los Angeles motor show. However, the latest images appeared without explanation on the Honda’s Japanese website at the weekend. The CR-V is based on an all-new platform. The most prominent changes are at the front, where the CR-V features a wraparound lower front bumper that is better integrated into the rest of the front fascia than on the current car. The three-bar horizontal front grille is also much more dominant than the current CR-V’s, with slimmed-down headlights flanking it on either side. Honda claims the front-end styling changes result in much improved aerodynamics over the current car. Sculpted bodywork features on the sides, which also get more pronounced side sills. The large alloy wheels featured on the concept have been exchanged for more practical-looking variants.
