TOYOTA INNOVA FACELIFT.

For those among you who are planning to buy Toyota Innova in India but feels its design is quite outdated now, here is a good news. Toyota unveiled the new face-lifted model of Innova at the 2011 Indonesia International Motor Show. The new model of Toyota Innova is expected to be launched in India in early 2012.

Coming to the new 2012 Innova facelift, major changes
to the popular MPV’s facelift are external and cosmetic along with a tad bit of changes to the interiors. Coming to the heart of the new Innova, the engine pwering the MPV will remain the same turbocharged, intercooled D-4D, 2 Liter diesel engine producing 102 bhp of peak power along with the 2 liter, 140 Bhp unit with variable valve technology as the petrol option. Although there were initial rumors of an automatic gearbox making it into the new Innova, the new Toyota Innova will continue with the same 5 speed manual gearbox.

Coming to the visual upgrades on the new Innova, the front grille is a completely new one, and the bumper is a redesigned unit as well, with both now enhancing the looks of the Innova to reflect the new Camry slightly. At the side of the vehicle, you would see new side protection mouldings together with a thicker chrome tip for the central line of the vehicle.
Moving on inside, the interiors get a more upmarket feel with an all new steering wheel and an LCD display music system. Also the knobs for AC and other functions been replaced by buttons. What remains to be seen however with this car is if Toyota maintains the currentprice line. The Innova has easily seen off many recent threats from competitors and with no creditable rivals in sight, Toyota may just take the opportunity to stretch the margin on this car when they launch it in 2012.
