Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black edition priced at Rs 3.75 crore.

The Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black edition can now be purchased in India at Rs 3.75 crore for the diesel variant and at Rs 3.85 crore for the petrol (ex-showroom, Delhi prices). As the name suggests, this Autobiography Black edition is based on the long-wheelbase version of the Range Rover. The car was first showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2013.

This is meant to be the range-topping variant with even more luxury and customisation options than the standard car, and so the highlight of the car is definitely its cabin. Since it’s a LWB, rear passengers get around 180mm more space than in the standard Range Rover. Practically every part in the cabin that can be felt is draped in fine leather in a choice of colour combinations. The front seats have massaging function, while the powered driver’s seat gets 18-way adjustability. Rear seats can be reclined more than in the standard model, gets lumbar massage, calf-rests, 10.2-inch infotainment screens, centre console with various controls, chiller and tables with USB ports.

And it’s not only from the inside, but the Autobiography Black edition can also be identified from its skin. It gets a distinct finishing on the grille, 21- or 22-inch glossy aluminium alloys, chrome garnish on the tailgate and unique tail-lamps.

The Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black edition gets a 335bhp 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel engine, or there is also the option of a 503bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Currently, this is the most expensive SUV one can buy in India.
