Next-gen Honda Civic concept revealed.

Honda has revealed a new Civic concept at the New York Auto Show 2015. The concept car is expected to become the precursor to the tenth generation of the Civic, which is expected to arrive in the international market, sometime next year.

Honda claims that the next generation of the Civic will be based on an all-new platform and will feature a turbo-charged engine in its line-up. The Civic concept was designed at Honda’s Los Angeles design studio and developed at the company’s development centre in Ohio.

The company has also said that the production version of the concept will feature a choice of a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

The concept showcases an aggressive look with a coupe design, large air-dams on the front and rear bumper, a single central rectangular exhaust integrated into the rear bumper, tail-lamps running the length of the boot-lid – a design last seen on the Civic Type-R concept – sharp body lines and prominent lines on the bonnet.

The production version, however, is expected to get less aggressive styling, much like the new Civic Type-R.
