2016 Mitsubishi Outlander unveiled.
Mitsubishi has unveiled the facelifted version of the Outlander crossover SUV at the New York auto show. The facelifted SUV features styling cues from Mitsubishi’s Outlander PHEV Concept-S.
The biggest change on the facelifted Outlander is the new front. The car gets a new bumper with chrome garnish on the grille and LED daytime-running lights in the headlamp assembly. On the sides, it gets new 18-inch alloy wheels and the lower door sections are also new. At the rear, there's LED tail-lamps, a new bumper and black cladding with silver trim along the lower portion of the car.
Mitsubishi says that the facelifted Outlander gets a reinforced chassis along with a tweaked suspension and that noise and vibrations in the cabin have been reduced as well.
On the inside, the Outlander gets a redesigned, electric steering wheel, a new infotainment system, a new auto-dimming rear-view mirror with Homelink (wireless control for the garage door), new trim and updated safety technology which includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Under the hood, the facelifted Outlander is expected to continue to feature the current car's range of engines.
