Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel 
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), second largest automaker after Maruti Suzuki India Limited in India, is all set to introduce Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel. The car maker began Indian operations in the year 1996 and immediately earned significant success in the industry. Launched in 1998, Hyundai Santro earned stature of an iconic car in India. This iconic car model was replaced Hyundai Santro Xing, which was introduced in petrol and LPG version. Diesel version of this family car is expected to be priced between Rs. 3.75 lacs and Rs. 4.50 lacs.
 
Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel variant will have an appearance like other variants, the only notable difference being CRDI engine. Some of the appealing features of latest edition of Hyundai Santro are V-shaped grille, detailed rectangular headlamps, steering mounted audio controls and Bluetooth interface. Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel will be assembled with 13 inch wheels with radial tyres. Elegant wheel cover over adds to the beauty of Santro Xing.
 
In the diesel version of Hyundai Santro Xing, fuel-efficient CDRI engine is complemented by a five-speed manual transmission. Moreover, it has an advanced suspension mechanism that features McPherson Strut at front and torsion beam axle suspension with coil spring at rear. The suspension system is supported by front ventilated disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
 
As far as technical specifications are concerned, Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel is loaded with 1100cc CRDi engine. Engineered for fuel efficiency, the Common Rail Direct Injection has capability to deliver maximum power output of 75 hp at 4000 rpm and has a maximum toque of 150 Nm at 1900 rpm to 2750 rpm. 
 
Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel has a fuel-efficient engine, as delivers fuel mileage of 23.5 kmpl on a highway. Fuel efficiency being its forte, Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel will challenge established models like Maruti Suzuki Zen and Tata Indica Vista in the hatchback segment.
 
The recent edition of Hyundai Santro has several design revisions, including front sporty headlamps, body colour front radiator grille bagging Hyundai logo and black bumper insert mouldings at the middle. Rear fascia of the Hyundai Santro Xing is well-designed as well, featuring boot lid and vertically stacked sleek elongated tail lamps. Moreover, there is a rear spoiler under the wide rear tinted windscreen.
 
Interiors have been revived as well, which use new fabric in dual tone beige and brown theme with silver accent. There is comfortable space in the car to be occupied by 5 passengers, including driver. Some of the highlighting interior additions in the latest edition of Santro are rear parcel tray and sporty front seats.
 
Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel will be loaded with several active and passive safety features. Power steering wheel, soft gear shift knob, wider wheelbase and front ventilated disc brakes are some of the passive safety features. Among notable active safety arrangements in the care are self-locking door, central locking, day/night inside rear view mirror, adjustable seatbelts and dual side impact beams.

NEW CR-V

These are the first official images of Honda’s all-new CR-V. Honda had released the first official picture of the CR-V concept last summer, and was due to unveil the production car at next month's Los Angeles motor show. However, the latest images appeared without explanation on the Honda’s Japanese website at the weekend. The CR-V is based on an all-new platform. The most prominent changes are at the front, where the CR-V features a wraparound lower front bumper that is better integrated into the rest of the front fascia than on the current car. The three-bar horizontal front grille is also much more dominant than the current CR-V’s, with slimmed-down headlights flanking it on either side. Honda claims the front-end styling changes result in much improved aerodynamics over the current car. Sculpted bodywork features on the sides, which also get more pronounced side sills. The large alloy wheels featured on the concept have been exchanged for more practical-looking variants.

Maruti S-cross facelift: What to expect

Maruti revealed a facelift for the S-cross at the Paris motor show earlier this year. The automaker’s premium crossover now gets a more distinctive front end with a new larger upright grille, new headlamps and a new bumper.
