2015 BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car unveiled.

The latest version of the BMW M4 Coupé is set to head the Safety Car fleet for the 2015 MotoGP World Championship. BMW has not revealed precise figures, but it says that a new and innovative water-injection cooling system has boosted the six-cylinder engine's power output.

The water-based cooling system is located in the boot, with a five-litre tank, a water pump, sensors and valve delivering water to the injectors at a pressure of 10bar. According to BMW, the water tank will only need to be refilled every fifth tank of petrol, even if the car is being driven at high speed on motorways.
The water-based cooling system supplements the standard cooling system and aims to regulate the temperature of the turbocharger at track speeds, in order to enable the safety car to keep performing at higher speeds for longer.

While this system is not available on any car other than the M4 safety car for now, BMW has said it will be used on an M-series model in the near future, following testing in the MotoGP car, thus hinting to a possible Clubsport version of the M4.

While the fire extinguisher, LED lights and the large 'M' decals on the side of the car are not likely to make it to any production model, it could take several visual cues from the features on the MotoGP car, such as a large carbonfibre rear spoiler, a carbonfibre front and rear splitter, M Performance side skirts and carbonfibre wing mirror caps.

NEW CR-V

These are the first official images of Honda’s all-new CR-V. Honda had released the first official picture of the CR-V concept last summer, and was due to unveil the production car at next month's Los Angeles motor show. However, the latest images appeared without explanation on the Honda’s Japanese website at the weekend. The CR-V is based on an all-new platform. The most prominent changes are at the front, where the CR-V features a wraparound lower front bumper that is better integrated into the rest of the front fascia than on the current car. The three-bar horizontal front grille is also much more dominant than the current CR-V’s, with slimmed-down headlights flanking it on either side. Honda claims the front-end styling changes result in much improved aerodynamics over the current car. Sculpted bodywork features on the sides, which also get more pronounced side sills. The large alloy wheels featured on the concept have been exchanged for more practical-looking variants.

Maruti S-cross facelift: What to expect

Maruti revealed a facelift for the S-cross at the Paris motor show earlier this year. The automaker’s premium crossover now gets a more distinctive front end with a new larger upright grille, new headlamps and a new bumper. The rear gets minor cosmetic tweaks as does the cabin with revised upholstery and new trim options. Maruti is planning to bring the refreshed S-cross to India late next year, and expects that the more crossover-like design of the facelift may boost sales of the slow seller.
