Carmakers dish out discounts galore
It’s that time of the year again. Along with bright lights and celebrations, the festive season brings with it some of the best deals when it comes to buying cars. Once again, carmakers are offering tempting discounts that let customers make most of their budgets and aspirations. So let’s find out what’s on offer this year.
BMW is offering Rs 1 lakh off on the on-road prices of all 3-series models till November 13. Other models like the 520d and 525d have Rs 3 lakh off, while the 730d comes with a discount of Rs 5 lakh. The X3 comes with a Rs 75,000 discount, while the X5 and X1 (Corporate Edition) diesels will be offered with discounts of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 4 lakh respectively.
Mercedes is offering around Rs 2 lakh discount on the C-Class petrol and a petro card worth Rs 1.5 lakh and on the C-Class diesel, there's a discount of Rs 1.5 lakh. On the E 220D, there's a discount of around Rs 3.5 lakh and on the E 250 diesel there's an offer of around Rs 2 lakh off.
Chevrolet is also offering discounts of Rs 20,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 45,000 on the new Spark, the Cruze and the Tavera, respectively.
Tata is offering benefits of upto Rs 1 lakh on the Indica Vista petrol and Rs 55,000 on the diesel. Similarly the Nano is being offered with benefits between Rs25,000-40,000 and the Manza petrol and diesel come with upto Rs 1.3 lakh and Rs 70,000 off respectively. All Aria models bear a Rs 1 lakh discount, while the Aria Pure base variant is on offer at Rs 9.95 lakh for a few days. The Sumo Gold’s down payment is marked down to Rs 45,000 and benefits of up to Rs 70,000 are also on offer. The Safari Dicor and the Venture also feature lower down payments of Rs 99,000 and Rs 45,000 respectively. Benefits of upto Rs 80,000 and Rs 45,000 are also on offer respectively on the same. And to add to the plethora of deals, Tata is also offering exchange offers of upto Rs 50,000.
Volkswagen is offering a year’s free insurance on the Polo petrol and the Jetta petrol and diesel. The Polo diesel is on offer with a year’s free insurance and Rs 10,000 discount. And if you you’re your purchase before November 15, there is a Rs 15,000 discount. The Passat highline auto comes with a Rs 2.3 lakh discount.
Ford is offering tons of freebies on its models. The Figo petrol ZXi and Titanium get Rs 8,000 worth accessories free. And the diesel EXi, ZXi and Titanium get Rs 10,000 worth accessories free. Also, if you currently own a Ford model, you could exchange it when buying any Figo model for a one year free warranty. The Ford Classic petrol comes with discounts between Rs 5,000 and Rs 12,000 and the diesel with Rs 5,000-15,000 off. The new Fiesta petrol Titanium comes with a Rs 34,000 discount and the petrol auto with Rs 35,000 off.
Hyundai is offering free insurance and an exchange loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000 on the i20 petrol. The i10 also gets free insurance and Rs 12,000 discount. The Eon is being offered with free insurance, the Verna petrol with a loyalty bonus of Rs 25,000, and the Santro Xing gets free insurance and a Rs 9,000 discount.
Maruti is offering Rs 24,000 off on the Alto K10 and Rs 30,000 off on the SX4 petrol and diesel. The Ritz petrol gets a Rs 15,000 discount, while the A-Star manual and auto variants get Rs 30,000 off. The Estilo is being offered with Rs 35,000 off and the Wagon R with Rs 30,000 off.
Skoda is offering 50 percent off on the Skoda Shield (after-sales pack) with the Fabia. The Laura diesel, depending on the variant, comes with either Rs 30,000 worth insurance free or a Rs 50,000 cash discount. The Laura petrol comes with a Rs 2.25 lakh discount, depending on variant though. The Yeti comes with Rs 50,000-70,000 off. The Superb diesel features a Rs 1 lakh discount depending on the variant, while the petrol variant – with the same conditions –gets upto Rs 50,000 discount or 50 percent off on the Skoda Shield service. The Rapid diesel and petrol come with Rs 30,000-50,000 and Rs 30,000-40,000 off based on the variant you pick.
Nissan is offering free insurance and exchange bonuses on most of its cars. The Micra petrol and diesel both get free insurance and Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000 exchange bonus respectively. The Sunny petrol gets Rs 50,000 exchange bonus and free insurance, while the diesel variant gets a Rs 7,000 discount and Rs 25,000 exchange bonus.
Mahindra is offering 50 percent off on insurance cost of the Xylo’s D variants and Rs 52,000 flat discount on the E trim-level.
